ECHOLIFT / TRAINING GUIDES
How to log gym workouts with Siri.
Keep a record of your lifting without typing every set. EchoLift lets you tell Siri your exercise, sets, reps and weight, then hear the confirmation.
You can log as you go. There is no need to start a workout plan first, and manual entry is available whenever you prefer to tap.
Start with a short command
The app’s recommended starting phrase is “Hey Siri, log a set in EchoLift.” Say the exercise when asked, then give the numbers together. Separating the exercise name from the opening command can help with variations such as incline bench press or Romanian deadlift.
You“Hey Siri, log a set in EchoLift.”
Siri“What exercise?”
You“Bench press.”
Siri“Sets, reps and weight?”
You“1 by 10 at 80.”
This example means one set of ten repetitions at a weight of 80. Check your weight unit in EchoLift before logging. These are example numbers, not a suggested training weight.
Your first voice log, step by step
- Open EchoLift on your iPhone. Check your exercise names and weight settings, and make sure Siri is enabled.
- After your set, ask Siri to log it. Use “Hey Siri, log a set in EchoLift,” then answer with the exercise name.
- Say sets, reps and weight in one phrase. For a single completed set, say “1 by 10 at 80.” If you are recording three completed sets together, “3 by 10 at 80” records three sets of ten.
- Listen to the confirmation. Check the exercise and numbers. You can also open your workout history to review the entry.
Two useful follow-up commands
Repeat the same set
Say “Hey Siri, log again in EchoLift.” This logs your most recent set again. Use it after completing another set with the same exercise, reps and weight.
Correct the most recent entry
If the last entry is wrong, say “Hey Siri, undo last set in EchoLift.” This removes the most recent set and reads back what was removed. Then log the correct details. Use the complete phrase rather than just “undo.”
When Siri does not catch it
Voice recognition can need another attempt, particularly in a noisy gym. Use the short starting command, wait for the question, and say the numbers together. Check your history before repeating a command if you are unsure whether a set was saved, so you do not accidentally log it twice.
You can always enter the exercise, sets, reps and weight manually. Voice and tapping are two ways to keep the same workout record.
Do you need AirPods or Apple Intelligence?
You do not need AirPods to log with Siri on your iPhone. Siri logging does not require Apple Intelligence; Siri availability depends on your device, language and settings. EchoLift’s on-device AI coaching and heart-rate features have separate compatibility requirements.

See the movement as well as the numbers
EchoLift also includes interactive 3D exercise demonstrations. Rotate and zoom to inspect a movement, then return to your logging. You can try the chest fly demonstration on the website.
